Sub-series consists of numbered and unnumbered (private or confidential) despatches and enclosures received by the governor-in-Chief from the Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada. A variety of subjects are discussed. The documents are arranged chronologically. Volume 1 contains one despatch dated 15 February 1821 which is not described in Parker's Guide.

(Paper) David W. Parker's description of "G" Series volumes 242-244 in his Guide to the Documents in the Manuscript Room at the Public Archives of Canada, volume 1, page 44, provides a volume by volume description of the volumes in this sub-series.
