Series consists of sound recordings as follows: CBC Tuesday Night profile on Stanley Knowles; Five Nights radio program featuring a discussion between Senator Eugene Forsey and M.P. Stanley Knowles about the Senate, broadcast by the CBC; Profiles in Politics program on J.S. Woodsworth with narrator Mavor Moore including readings from Woodsworth's letters and debates. Also included are a selection of speeches, anecdotes and recitations given by Tommy Douglas; various speeches and toasts given in honour of Irma and Tommy Douglas at a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary; amateur recording of two patriotic poems performed by G.J. Hutton; a speech by Stanley Knowles, M.P. for Winnipeg North Centre, in support of the Canada Pension Plan to the International Association of Machinists - Lodge 122 at Labour Temple, Winnipeg; interview with Susan Trofimenkoff concerning her recollections of Knowles and her book entitled "The Man from Winnipeg North Centre"; an interview with John Bruce of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe fitters by Stanley Knowles; off-air recordings of radio and television programs and various interviews with Stanley Knowles concerning his platform, personal life and health; and a self-recording of Knowles on the 100th anniversary of his father's birth where he discusses his family history and the people, places and events that shaped his early life.

Series also contains a videocassette recording of an award presentation for Stanley Knowles held by the Canadian Labour Congress, 1982.
