Collection consists of four newsreels from the Eyes front newsreel series produced by the National Film Board of Canada Newsreel Coordination Unit as a non-theatrical newsreel series for troops stationed in Canada, and using footage of troops in the Canadian Army Film Unit, U.S. Signal Corps, and their own footage. Episode titles include: Canucks visit Norse fishermen; Ice follies of 1945; Bob Hope and talent entertain troops; This dog's army; War correspondent Ross Monro speaks from Germany; People of Canada wartime production exhibit in Britain; and Private Snafu animation.
