Collection consists of Canadian and foreign documentaries, instructional films, travelogues, and fiction films. Several films were produced by the National Film Board of Canada. Titles include: The three musketeers; Primitive painters of Charlevoix; Opus : impressions of British art and culture; Maple sugar time = Le temps des sucres; No. 5, Yellow-Shafted Flicker, Chestnut-Sided Warbler, Mountain Bluebird; No. 4, Spotted Sandpiper, Sora, Barrow's Golden Eye; Clearing the way; Western crossing; Canadian small mouths; Songs of Nova Scotia; The curlers; Stepping along with television; The wind from the west; World without end; Hot hickory; Selections from the Christmas oratorio; and Festival in Puerto Rico.

Metropolitan Toronto Library Board : In 1968 the operation of the Central Library Division of the Toronto Public Library was taken over by the Metropolitan Toronto Library Board. The Board was established by the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto. Their role was to oversee the work of the Metropolitan Toronto Central Library, Metro Urban Affairs Library, Alpha Ontario and the Consumer Health Information Service.
