The series consists of three audio discs and one audio reel of promotional announcements for the United Appeal in Toronto, and three audio cassettes of oral history interviews with Sir William Stephenson in Bermuda in 1986. In the interviews, Stephenson reminisces and discusses his First World War experiences with the army and Royal Flying Corps; being injured in a land mine explosion; escaping from a prisoner of war camp and other war stories; teaching at the University of Manitoba; the invention of the wire photo and design of the transmitter; and his work with British Intelligence during the Second World War, including British Security Coordination at New York.
