Sub-sub-series consists of records related to claims from the period before the official arbitrators were appointed for the combined Canada East and West. The sub-sub-series includes evidence and awards in individual claims cases before arbitration. One case is noteworthy on land damages caused by construction of a dam at the head of the Beauharnois Dam, 1851 (Vol. 4102). Registers by both claimant and location are available for this case (see volumes 3747-3748).
