Sub-series consists of engineering reports relating to navigation on the Ottawa and French rivers. The sub-series includes a report of Walter Shanly to T.A. Begley, Secretary of the Board of Works, dated 22 March 1858. This report is available in original form and as a typescript copy. The report is printed in the Journal of the Legislative Assembly, 1858, Appendix 15. Also included are two copies of a report by Thomas G. Clark to the Hon. John Rose, Commissioner of the Public Works, 2 January 1860.
