Fonds consists of video recordings of the 1973-1974 conference on women in Canadian literature, and of a conference sponsored by the Science Council of Canada. Also considered: anglophone women in Quebec and women's employement orientation. Appearing in the course of the sessions were, among others, Patricia Morely, Miriam Waddington, Margaret Anderson, Maureen O'Neill, Hélène Holden, Sylvia Fraser, Freda Paltiel and Solange Chaput-Roland. Also included is a film directed by Josephine MacFadden entitled The status of women.

Fonds also consists of sound recordings of the proceedings of The Strategy for Change Conference, sponsored by the Ontario Committee on the Status of Women in 1972.

MacFadden, Josephine V : Josephine V. MacFadden (fl. 1972-2001) is an independent filmmaker based in Ottawa, Ontario. MacFadden is president of Communicado Associates in Ottawa, director of Friends of the Rideau, a volunteer non-profit organization, and producer of the 1994 television documentary John By : hero without honour, the Rideau Canal story.
