Collection consists of documentary films on the salmon fishing industry of BC, winter sports in Banff, scenic views of Vancouver in 1937 and a swimming marathon in Toronto. Also included is a Norman McLaren animation film.

Biography/Administrative history:

Schieman, Arnold : Arnold Schieman is a film conservator and restoration specialist. In the 1970s he worked as Senior Technical Consultant at the National Film Board of Canada. In the early 1980s, together with Wesley Heeney, Schieman founded the Restoration House Film Group, Inc., a film restoration corporation based in Belleville, Ontario, and devoted to the salvaging and restoring of motion picture film. In June 2002 the Directors of the Restoration House Film Group announced the dissolution of the corporation within 12 months time, and the retirement of both Heeney and Schieman.
