Collection consists of documentation of the activities of The Rocky Mountain Rangers during World War II from the regiment's well known march from Kamloops to Vancouver to combined operations training for the KISKA operation. Includes footage of guard detachments at various coastal points in Military District No. 11 (Pacific Command) and training overseas and home servicemen.

Rocky Mountain Rangers : The Rocky Mountain Rangers, a volunteer militia unit, was established in Canada's North West. The unit was formed in 1885 in response to the Northwest Rebellion. They served with distinction in World War I and II, and have since served full-time as peacekeepers in Cyprus, the Middle East, and the former republic of Yugoslavia. The Rangers, who number approximately 100 full and part-time members, work to provide an infantry company and a reconnaissance platoon for Regular Force augmentation, and they routinely provide individuals for full time overseas peacekeeping duty.
