Fonds consists of sound bites for newscasts from the tape archive of CKLW. Some of the material was syndicated but most was generated by CKLW. Includes samples of CKLW's 20-20 news.

CKLW (Radio station : Windsor, Ont.) : CKLW first went on the air on 2 June 1932 as CKOK, broadcasting at AM540. In 1933, the signal shifted to 840AM and its call letters were changed to CKLW. On 29 March 1941 it moved to its present position of AM800. CKLW became the first station in North America to establish an unattended transmitter operation. In 1993 CKLW was purchased by CHUM Group Radio. AM800 continues today as a news and information station geared towards Windsor and Essex County. "About CKLW: History".
