Series consists of records maintained in the Dormant central registry system of the Department of Trade and Commerce. When Department of Trade and Commerce records were transferred from an active to a dormant records area, their registry number was cancelled and they were allotted a new sequential number prefixed by the letter "T". This practice was created to facilitate file retrieval. All files sent to dormant storage from the sequentially numbered and first block registry systems were so designated, until the practise was discontinued in 1966.
