Fonds consists of microfilmed papers concerning emigration, especially to Canada, 1823-1825, one file, 62 pages. It consists of contemporary copies of letters from R.W. Horton to Horace Downsend and to Peter Robinson, 1825; various emigration letters; report of Peter Robinson, superintendent of a "limited immigration" to Canada in 1823. He describes his speeches to locals in Cork, Ireland; his methods of selection for emigrants, his objectives, and his management of the emigrants during the voyage to Quebec, Quebec, and afterwards on the steampacket inland. This material is located on microfilm reel A-1619.

Jebb, John, 1805-1886 : Bishop of Limerick, Ireland.

John Jebb (1805-1886) was the eldest son of Richard Jebb, Irish judge, and nephew of Dr. John Jebb. He was educated at Winchester and at Trinity College, Dublin. He wrote numerous sermons, pamphlets and contributions to the church papers including such items as 'Three Lectures on the Cathedral Service of the Church of England', and 'The Rights of the Irish Branch of the United Church of England and Ireland considered on Fundamental Principles, Human and Divine', 1868.
