The acquisition consists of Canadian publicity photographs taken across the country mainly in the 1950s-1960s by Canadian Government Travel Bureau, Ontario Dept. Travel & Publicity and Manitoba Bureau of Travel & Publicity. Various topics show: Vancouver from the Harbour, B.C., fishing for rainbow trout in the west arm of Kootenay Lake, B.C.; visitors a top of Mount Royal, Montreal, Que., skiing in the Laurentians Mountains, Que., Causapscal, French canadian village in the Matapedia valley, Que.; ancient guns mounted on battlements at Quebc City, Que.; Visitors from Montana at Watertown Lake, Watertown Lakes National Park, Alta; Supreme Court building, National Research Council building, Confederation building, War Memorial Monument, Bank of Canada building, tourist before the Champlain Monument at Nepean Point, Ottawa, Ont.; The Trans-Canada Highway, 1954; Dancing competition at the annual Gaelic Mod and Highland gathering at St.Ann's, Cape Breton Island, N.S.; Neil Harbour, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, N.S.; Teeing off the third hole on the golf course at Prince Albert National Park, Sask.; Changing of the Guard, Fort Henry, Kingston, Ont.; series of prints on fishing acivities, provincial parks of Manitoba and buildings of Winnipeg ( Legislative building, city aerial view, Winnipeg auditorium); Indian Sun Dance, Battleford, Sask, 1895; Sealskin drying, Forteau Bay, 1935, Labrador; Boiling seal oil, Battle Harbour, 1935, Labrador.
