General note:

Accession comprises textual, photographic and art records relating to the life and career of artist Jennifer Dickson.
The art and photographic components of this collection are difficult to segregate due to the multiplicity of techniques used by the artist. Thus, a large portion of the fine art photographs are included in the finding aid for the art portion and not the photographic one. Researchers are advised to consult both finding aids.
The textual records date from 1936 to 2001 and include the following series: personal material and correspondence; exhibition and other projects files; professional records; Royal Academy of Arts files; business files; travel files; and publicity and promotional material.

Physical description note:

Graphic (photo): Included in the photographic component of the fonds are ca. 1,800 b&w negatives, 1,020 b&w prints, 570 colour slides, 267 colour prints, 44 large in-camera cibachromes and 20 hand-tinted prints.

Original extent note:

8.49 m of textual records, ca. 500 prints and ca. 3,700 photographs.
