Collection search - [Plans for city of Ottawa and proposed plan for new Parliament buildings] [cartographic material]

Accession consists of a Plan showing city if Ottawa bound on the east by Bank Street, on the west by the westerly boundary of the Perely Home, on the north by the Ottawa River, and on the south by Wellington Street. This plan was prepared under the Direction of A.G. Acres, appraiser, Ottawa. The other item is a view titled New Parliament Building, City of Ottawa. This was prepared for the Dominion Government by Edward White, Sir Ashton Webb and Maurice E. Webb. This item appeared in The Builder, May 23, 1913. The view indicates that it was part of the Royal Academy Exhibition 1913.

The accession was transferred by the Public Records Division to the Cartographic Archives Division in 1971. One item came from RG11, D.P.W. file 5360-1A while the other came from RG11 D.P.W. file 4748-1A.
