1 1806 "Ulysses deck of Transformation cards," published by J.G. Cotta of Tubingen, Germany; 1 panoramic print depicting the "Procession at the Coronation of George IV on 19th July, 1921," published by William Sams of London, England.. The panoramic print, rolled up and consisting of 12 joined sheets, depicts a procession of 133 different groups of figures. Sections 112-113 and 122-133 are missing. The original boxwood box drum container is also missing. The print was originally published in 1821; this is a 1824 reprint.n 1824 reprint..
Although these items are outside the usual realm of DAP collection, they were retained as fascinating novelty items.
Transformation cards are so called because the suit signs have been made to form part of a humorous design. This deck is called "Ulysses" because this character appears as the King of Hearts. Other classical figures are featured. Such decks came to Canada in the early 19th century, where they were used for regular games and kept as curiousities.
