The cabbage Root Maggot is shown on the root of a plant; the effect of this insect on plants is indicated by shots of unhealthy looking cabbages. Methods for eliminating maggots are explained in intertitles and then demonstrated in shots of gardeners. Another menace to this plant is the Cabbage Worm, the ugly offspring of a butterfly sitting on a cabbage leaf. Once again, the effects of this insect is shown, followed by a suggested course of treatment. The behavior and treatment of the Cutworm and the Potato Bug are illustrated in a similar manner.
