Salisbury and Albert Railway Company : The Salisbury and Albert Railway Company was originally incorporated as the Albert Railway Company under New Brunswick Act, 27 Vic., Cap. 58 of 13 April 1864. Construction did not commence until 1874 and the 44.5 mile line between Salisbury and Albert on 30 June 1876. In 1888 the line was sold under foreclosure and the Salisbury and Harvey Railway Company was incorporated on 10 October 1889 to operate it. In 1898 it passed under trusteeship and in 1899 was sold to a new owners. Under Dominion Act, 8-9 Edward VII, Cap. 131 of 7 April 1909 it was reincorporated under the name of the Salisbury and Albert Railway Company. Following financial difficulties it was purchased by the Dominion Government on 22 May 1918. RG30 General Inventory
