This fonds consists largely of textual subject files which detail Dick's elections, speeches and House Committee activities, as well as his roles as Associate Minister of Defence, Minister of Supply and Services, Minister of Public Works and Associate Senior Minister for Ontario. It consists of the following seven series: Elections; Speeches and mailings; Associate Minister, Department of Defence; Minister, Department of Supply and Service; Associate Senior Minister for Ontario; Cabinet and House of Commons files; and Other records, including over 900 photographs and negatives.

Dick, Paul, 1940- : The Hon. Paul Dick was born on 27 October 1940 in Kapuskasing, Ontario. He was first elected to the House of Commons (Lanark-Renfrew-Carleton) for the Progressive Conservative Party in 1972. He was re-elected in the general elections of 1974, 1979, 1980, 1984 and 1988. His appointments included the following: Chairman of the Ontario Federal P.C. Caucus, 1974-1978; Youth Critic for the P.C. Party, 1976-1979; Opposition Deputy House Leader, 1983-1984; Parliamentary Secretary to the Government House Leader, 1984-1985; Parliamentary Secretary to the Privy Council, 1985, and to the President of the Treasury Board, 1985-1986.

He was sworn to the Privy Council on 30 June 1986 and appointed Associate Minister of National Defence. Subsequent appointments were as follows: Minister of Supply and Services on 30 January 1989, Associate Senior Minister for Ontario on 23 February 1990, and Minister of Supply and Services aas well as Minister of Public Works on 25 June 1993. He was defeated in the general election of 1993. Paul Dick died on May 2, 2018, at the age of 77.
