Album contains views of Placecntia, St. John's and Fogo, Newfoundland; Quebec City, Montreal and Monmorency, Quebec; Halifax, Nova Scotia, Niagara Falls, Ontario; Antigua, Trinidad, St. Kitts, Barbados, Dominica, West Indies; Scotland as well as General Bright's staff, India; the wives of the Frech Fishery Commissioners; photo-montage of Sir John and Lady Glover; skating, carnival and curling party, Montreal; photo-montages by Notman; views of HM Ships Inflexible, Duke of Wellington and Tenedon and the yacht Nooya. Compiled by Elizabeth Rosetta Glover and her husband Sir John Hawley Glover, Governor of Newfoundland, 1876-1881 and Governor of the Leeward Islands, 1881-1883. Photographers include: G.W.W. (Scotland), Notman, Notman & Sandham, Hough (Trinidad), Alexander Henderson, Burke (India), and S.H. Parsons.
