Series consists of material accumulated by Yousuf Karsh regarding portrait photographer and fellow Armenian John H. Garo with whom Karsh apprenticed for a period of three years. A great deal of this material was sent to Karsh at his request by Laurence W. Blaker of Blaker Studio Royal in New York. Included are two issues of "The Camera" and an issue of "American Photography" containing articles about Garo, newspaper clippings concerning his death, copies of lectures delivered by him, a pamphlet by him entitled "A New Art", and an original typescript draft of "Principles and Practices of Reproduction and Restoration for the Professional Photographer" by W.F.
