Description:

Interview of Angus McGowan, of Montague, Prince Edward Island. He talks about the history of the Scots who came to the island after the rebellion of 1745 in Scotland and the subsequent clearances of people from the Scottish Highlands. McGowan describes the immigration in the early 1800s led by Lord Selkirk, the hardships encountered by the people in their new land and the help they received from the Micmac Indians. He recounts some ghosts stories that have been passed down from generation to generation.
