Report consists of part of a statement by Local 598 Recording Secretary, Stan Racicot, on talks with Inco held at Ministry of Labour in Toronto, Nov. 26-28, giving details of Inco's final proposal and stating union concerns about resumption of 40-hour work week with the company deciding on how many men would be called back and how long the work week would be maintained. Racicot gives details of the union's final proposal, indicating where the union had moved from previous proposals. He concludes that the negotiating committee could not recommend settlement of the strike on the company's terms. Announcement of change in meeting times for the auto cavalcade to Queen's Park, Wed. 3 Dec., since Premier Frost agreed to meet with the union.
