General note:

The accession consists almost entirely of press photographs of Pierre de Bané, from his election as a Member of Parliament in 1968 to his nomination as Minister of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in 1982. Apart from his official portraits, there are two albums and many snapshots which depict de Bané's official duties in Canada and abroad. Although some portrait studios are identified (Proulx Brothers, Studio Impact), there is rarely an indication of date, function, location, especially in the case of snapshots.
