This album, comprised of 112 pages on which 401 photographs are mounted, consists mainly of landscapes and people of the Arctic. Photos by L.T. Burwash, investigator for the Department of the Interior. Burwash was sent on government expeditions to investigate a number of issues, such as wild life, biology, natural resources, as well as an Inuit census. He travelled on the C.G.S. Arctic and by dog sled while on land. There are photographs of the Inuit of Pond Inlet who murdered hunter R.S. Janes in 1920. There are many photos of Dorset and its surrounding area.
