General note:

Consists of descriptive records in ledger format, that detail authorized expenditures for capital and other projects undertaken by the Railway in Western Canada during the period 1916-1920. The records, which are numbered from 1 through 1,500, contain the project authority number, type (e.g. building improvements, highway crossing, new station, equipment), location of project, division or branch involved and date of approval.
