Sub-sub-series consists of records that were compiled by GSC staff between 1924 and 1973 and contain material relating to the history of the GSC, its members, facilities and activities. There are letters, memoranda, interviews and published material outlining various historical events or subjects. In some cases individuals donated historical documents such as an 1872 letter of introduction for R.W. Ells written by G.M. Dawson, and a 1921 photograph of the GSC staff, which have now been placed on these two files. (RG45, Vol. 294, Files number 21 and 22)
