Fonds consists of an illustrated journal by Captain Bradford entitled "Skunk - Shawenegan" containing text and 4 watercolours. The journal documents a trip taken by Captain Bradford with Godfrey Gulliver. The first section covers the story of a skunk that was brought to the Citadel by one of the officers on August 1847; the second section covers a description of tourists from the United States visiting the Citadel and Quebec City on September 18, 1847; the third section covers a canoe trip from Three Rivers up the St. Maurice to Pat River with Godfrey Gulliver.

Also included is a scrapbook of Captain Bradford containing 9 drawings and watercolours, depicting events on a trip, presumably to the "Kennebec Country", ca. 90 miles from Quebec. At least 2 drawings were executed by Captain W. J. Colville who accompanied Captain Bradford on the trip.
