Seeking revenge, the Indians pursue Baptiste, forcing him to make the leap for life of the title. He is unsuccessful in this endeavour and falls into a ravine where he is left for dead. Little Doe, a young Indian girl, finds Baptiste and with the aid of friendly Cree she helps him.~A priest, Father Francis (Robert G. Vignola), brings more of the tribe and they take Baptiste back to their village where Little Doe nurses him back to health. They fall in love, to the consternation of her boyfriend, and wish to marry. Chief Black Hawk forbids this ans she is put under guard in a teepee. Baptiste bribes the female guard with a necklace and the couple escape. Their absence is discovered and the braves give chase.
