Series consists of studies and surveys from Corporate Services, a section partially integrated into the National Harbours Board in 1950. The records relate to a number of subjects filed in the registry block 244. Information was collected from all ports under the jurisdiction of the NHB and the data served as the basis of a reevaluation of all port activities and installations. Subjects covered include the origin and destination of cargo, warehousing facilities, transport problems in the Atlantic provinces, environmental problems and climatic cycles. These records present a broad view of port traffic from the 1950s to the 1980s.
