Whipple Car Company : The Whipple Car Company was incorporated on 29 April 1909 under the laws of the state of Maine. It acquired the stock of the Chicago, New York and Boston Refrigerator Company and operated the business of this company from 7 July 1909 to late 1913. The Whipple Car Company was acquired by the Grand Trunk on 26 August 1913. Shortly after, the Elsdon car shops were sold to the Grand Trunk Western and the car equipment to the refrigerator company. Since then the Whipple Car Company, while never officially dissolved, has remained inactive with neither assets nor liabilities. RG30 General Inventory
