These records were created by the Directorate of Flight Safety. This unit, under the authority of Air Command, was responsible for investigating accidents involving Canadian Forces Aircraft. These records, which cover approximately the post-war period until the mid 1990s, consist of 8 boxes of textual documents containing annual, quarterly and monthly summaries of aircraft accidents and incidents, statistics and surveys of accidents, reports of ejection experiences from different aircrafts, reports of emergency parachute jumps, flying times. Of particular interest are the Accident Investigation Branch Flying accident code books and interpretation, contained in box 4.

Textual records: Most documents are in acco press binders, which are falling apart. Many pages are brittle and several binders are losing their identification tag.
