Collection search - Nominal rolls and birth registers from the Director Personnel Administration. [textual record]

The records in this accession were compiled under the auspices of the Director of Personnel Administration who has responsibility for maintaining information on service personnel for the purposes of pay, benefits, movements and other administrative activities. After the unification of the Canadian Forces in 1966 this office took over responsibility for the personnel records of the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Army, and the Royal Canadian Navy. The records in this accession consist of nominal rolls of personnel released from the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Royal Canadian Navy and registers of births of children born outside Canada to Canadian service personnel.

Textual records: These records are mostly computer printouts gathered in accopress binders, some of which are deteriorating.

Records were transferred from NDRLS 3-8 at National Defence Headquarters according to Records Disposition Authority 69/014. The records of births to Canadian service personnel outside of Canada was transferred earlier to the National Defence archivists for decision to retain and has been included in this accession.
