Series consists of a booklet, largely written by hand, containing statutes of the German Society of Montreal, 1859; a brief history of the Society, prepared in 1858; as well as a list of members of the Society, 1835-1915. The series also contains directories of German businesses in Montreal, 1953, 1955, 1957; notes and other material on the history of the German Society of Montreal, n.d., 1865, 1872, 1935, 1963; manuscript and published reports, 1964, 1983-1985, on the Beloeil train disaster; clippings on Germans in Canada, n.d., 1960-1969, 1984, 1985, 1989, as well as other material saved by the German Society of Montreal pertaining to its activities or to Germans in Montreal and Quebec, n.d., 1947-1950.
