Sub-series consists of files which were created, used and/or kept by Susan Norquay during her tenure the Secretary of State for External Affairs (SSEA). Susan Norquay was a member of Mr. Clark's staff, and served as the assistant to Chief of Staff Jodi White from 1985-1987. Her files are broadly divided into correspondence and subject files. The correspondence files, arranged chronologically within each type of file, include diaries, 'chrons' (chronological replies, memoranda and notes), and personal correspondence. The subject files, arranged alphabetically, include, for example, individual case files, information on government programs and policy issues, briefing materials, and ministers' statements and speeches. This sub-series reflects the administrative and policy aspects of Susan Norquay's position within the SSEA.
