This series consists of material dealing primarily with La Forest's activities as a consultant with the Kouchibouguac National Park Inquiry, and contains reports, correspondence and memoranda, provincial and federal legal papers, articles, studies, surveys, newspaper clippings and other documents. There is also some material documenting La Forest's consultation work in regards to: the arbitration between Dr. Firozul Islam and the University of Moncton; the Nova Scotia offshore resources; the administrative processes dealing with specific native claims; and the presentation to the Special Joint Committee of the Senate and House of Commons on the Constitution of Canada. Also includes course material, documents which had belonged to Elmer Driedger (previous director of the Legislative Drafting Program) but were given by him to Gérard V. La Forest, personal correspondence and papers.
