This file contains the forest fire weather indices for selected sites which represent all forested areas in the Province of Nova Scotia. The forest fire weather index is based on the moisture content of three classes of fuel plus the effect of wind on fire behaviour. The FWI is determined every day from noon weather readings only: temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and rain (if any). These data were collected daily from approximately May to October for each year from 1957 to 1966.
