Series consists of photocopied correspondence. There is no arrangement by date or subject since most of this correspondence consists of portions of files which are listed in the order in which they are shelved. There are approximately 85 files, most of them less than 20 pages. Among the larger files are those containing correspondence with Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the Duke of Connaught, Rider Haggard and Lord Strathcona. There are also a number of miscellaneous files, chiefly those entitled "Canadian Letters" for each year from 1906 to 1910. One particularly interesting file in this series consists of notes by Lord Grey on members of the Senate and House of Commons who were invited to Government House (pages 6064-6308). Two letters (photocopies) written by Rev. H.A. Cody in Dawson city (Yukon) to his mother on the occasion of the visit of Lord Grey, and a photocopy of pages from a book entitled "Vagabond of Verges" are in box 41.
