Sub-series, volumes 1813, 1814, 1817, 1820-1822, 1886, 1917, and 1918, consists of a wide range of Ordnance Office reports, surveys, letter books, instructions, regulations, and treatises. Included are an entry book of letters relating to the Louisbourg expedition, 1745-1750; selected entries from letter books, including reports, estimates and accounts relating to fortifications in North America, 1753-1834; and papers, including correspondence, estimates, and plans relating to extraordinary expenses in consequence of the revolts in Canada, 1837-1848. This material is available on microfilm reels B-3039 to B-3041. Transcript selections of volumes 1817, 1820, 1821, and 1886 are available on microfilm reel C-12587.
