The 13 plans and maps referred to in Morse's report (King's MSS. 208). The CAAD references for these are: Port-Roseway Harbour (NMC-589); the Halifax peninsula (NMC-10372); the work on Citadel Hill, Halifax (NMC-18703); Fort Needham, Halifax (NMC-862); Fort Massey, Halifax (NMC-863); Fort Charlotte, Halifax (NMC-778); Fort Clarence, Halifax (NMC-864); the Naval Yard, Halifax (NMC-18704); the Annapolis River (NMC-34217); the Fort at Annapolis Royal (NMC-1805); the Fort at Cumberland (NMC-1802); the Fort at Windsor (NMC-1008); and the Harbour at Saint John (N.B.) (NMC-606).

The plans are all re-drawn versions of earlier plans, dating from as early as 1733, done by previous surveyors and royal engineers, except for the plan of the Halifax peninsula, which was specially surveyed for Morse in 1784 by Captain Charles Blaskowitz and drawn by Henry Castleman. King's MSS. 209, ff. 2-14.

The Catalogue of the British Library mentions that the 13 plans and maps listed above are preceded by an Admiralty chart, 1778, of the coast of Nova Scotia, etc., by J.F.W. Des Barres (1722-1824). This chart does not appear to have been transcribed, perhaps because it was a printed rather than a manuscript chart. Since, however, CAAD has several variants of the chart in question, one of these (CAAD reference NMC-28445) has been placed with the rest of the plans and maps, for the convenience of users.
