Series consists of a journal of Charles Robin, 1767-1774, including memoranda, notes, inventories and copies of letters as well as diary-like entries. The contents vary: business matters, details of voyages to and from Jersey, observations on customs and activities of people encountered during Robin's travels, and weather conditions. The style and organization of the original manuscript suggest it may have been a later copy. A short segment describing a journey to Quebec in 1787 is available only in the transcript.
