Series consists of an inventory of the estate left by David Johnstone to his widow Mary Irvine and their children, 1811.

There are also eleven letters written by John Millar to his family in Scotland, 1834-1854. Millar described his life as a farmer and a blacksmith in Grenville Co., including numerous references to prices and crops, illness, religion and Scottish friends. Typescript copies of these letters are filed with the collection, files 1-2.
