Views of gulls flying over rocky coast; small stores in Victoria; sunset on a lake; gulls over water; a Greyhound tour bus at the door of the famous Empire Hotel and passengers getting off and entering the hotel. Shot of wreckage of a wooden ship on the rocks. Advertisements for a swimming pool with girls swimming in an indoor pool. Advertisement for British Columbia with lakes, nice roads, etc. Car driving up the road to Butchart Gardens, shot of trimmed shrubbery in the gardens, man teeing off at a golf course which is situated along a lake, dignitaries and tourists visiting gardens on a palatial estate, and a good shot of the ferry boat which plies between Victoria and mainland Vancouver. View of Nanaimo blockhouse from where the ferry leaves the island, scenic shots of lakes, mallards swimming in a pond, deer in the woods, and fir trees in a park.~Tourists are seen on a hotel terrace and visiting Buchart Gardens. Kids swim in a pond. Shots of deer in a forest, Victoria Basin with ferry boats and passenger ships docked, the SS Princess Kathlene leaving Victoria Pier, four loggers navigating rough water in a punt, sportsman fishing, scenic rivers, lakes, and sports fishermen landing salmon. Shown is the Victoria Astrophysical Observatory which brings the moon within forty mile of the earth. Final shots of cars and bus driving through a park lined with giant fir trees, two tourists on horseback riding through snow covered Rockies, people getting onto Island Coach bus at Victoria, cars at a dock, the ferry getting underway, and the ferry arriving at Anacortes. <13mn 18s>
