This film provides a dramatized lesson in electrical safety. The film begins in the home of Robert Ward, "a lineman whose entire life is centred in his wife and children". As Robert finishes the breakfast prepared by his wife, his children play at his feet; as he leaves for work, his wife warns him to be careful. At the same moment, the "thoughtless and impulsive" Jim Clark is eating breakfast at his drab boarding house with his sweetheart Rose White, a stenographer at the Public Utility. As they get ready to leave, the couple discuss marriage; Rose complains that Jim is too reckless but Jim claims he would be less so with "someone at home". At work, Robert tries to convince Jim to work safely, but Jim often forgets. In the office of the Public Utility, the Accident Prevention Supervisor discusses accidents with the General Manager. The Supervisor reccomends that Accident Prevention be made a part of regular operation, in order to reduce the number of mishaps. The next scene shows a man inspecting equipment and demonstrating resuscitation; Jim laughs when he is asked to participate. In the autumn, Rose and Jim have decided to marry but on the day their wedding is to take place there is an emergency; electricity is knocked out at the hospital and Jim and Robert must repair the wires. As they get to work, Jim leaves his protective gloves off, complaining that they "take too much time". At the top of the pole, Jim touches a live wire and slumps over. He is lowered to the ground where resuscitation is performed and he wakes before being taken to the hospital. When Rose hears of the accident she is angry, but Robert calms her, explaining that he used to be reckless before he married. When Rose visits Jim at the hospital, he pledges to take all protective measures in the future. The film's final title exclaims: "Think". <17mn 58s>

Made under the supervision of Wills Maclachlan, Toronto; the nature of this supervision is uncertain but as Maclachlan's name doesn't appear in other OMPB material it is possible that he acted as a technical consultant on behalf of an electric utility.~2. 1927 Catalogue description: "To be electrocuted on top of a pole is startling at any time but when it happened on Jim Clark's wedding day the results were far-reaching. The story of a year in the lives of Jim Clark and his friend Robert Ward is especially interesting to anyone connected with electrical work because these two men are linesmen and do many "high wire" feats during the day's work.~3.
