This series was created primarily by R.W. Johnston, who was appointed the Canadian Branch's Historian in 1975 after the death of his predecessor, H.H. Ward. It comprises materials gathered together by Johnston as well as some documents created by Ward during his tenure (1954-1974). The series is divided as follows: Annual files, including minutes, annual reports, and other documentation on the Canadian Branch, 1960-1984 (volumes 18 to 20); Canadian Branch records, 1853-1981, including an account book for 1857-1873 (volumes 20 to 21); material on clubs in the Canadian Branch, n.d., 1868-1986, including notably the minute book of the Three Rivers Curling Club for 1875-1885 (volume 21); files on various curling associations, n.d., 1933-1983 (volumes 21 to 22); trophies and competitions, n.d., 1874-1984 (volume 22).

The series contains general subject files, n.d., 1876-1984 (volume 22); and printed matter, n.d., 1840-1985, including Annuals of the RCCC (Scotland) for 1974/75 to 1984/85 (volumes 22 to 26); and correspondence and miscellaneous material, circulars, minutes, publicity material, financial statements, lists of the Council of Management members, 1984-1989, and photocopies of Canadian Branch information in the Annuals of the RCCC, 1984/1985 to 1988/1989 (volume 30).
