The fonds consists of the constitution and by-laws, minutes, correspondence and other records of the German Canadian Choir Association, 1953-1982. Also included are the constitution and by-laws, minutes, financial records, correspondence, programs and other records of the Concordia Club of Ottawa, 1956-1978, as well as programs, and publications of other song groups and German clubs in Europe and the United States,1951 - 1977. The fonds also contains posters relating to events sponsored by the Concordia Male Choir, Ottawa, Ontario, in the early 1970's.

German Canadian Choir Association : The German Canadian Choir Association was organized in Kitchener in 1958 to serve as an umbrella organization for German Canadian choirs in Ontario and Quebec. Its most important members include the Concordia Choir, Kitchener; the Maennerchor Germania, Hamilton, the Deutscher Chor, Montreal; and the Concordia Club of Ottawa. The choir association serves as spokesperson for its members and represents them in contacts with government agencies. It also organizes annual song fests, as well as participates in choir exchanges which enable German Canadian choirs to tour Europe and other areas of the world, and to bring choirs from other areas of the world to Canada.
