Description:

Radio documentary based on the 1948 book by Henry G. Kidd on the life of Donald Morrison who, while attempting to rectify the injustice done to his father became Canada's most wanted outlaw in 1888. Patrick McFadden narrates the program and is supported by extensive comments by present-day residents of the village of Milan, in Megantic County, who remember Donald Morrison. The documentary presents an outline of the Scots emigration from the Hebrides to the Eastern Townships of Quebec, their development of this area, the circumstances which led to Donald Morrison's alleged crimes, the long and drawn-out efforts of the law to extract Donald Morrison fro the secretive Scots community and his eventual capture and death from tuberculosis. The program reconts the opinions of people past and present about the great injustice done to Morrison. <20mn 3s>
