Fonds consists of Osler family genealogy in Canada and in South Africa, some 1891 data on an amber deposit in western Canada, eight files on big game hunting in Sudan, and to a lesser extent in Uganda, Kenya, Nyasaland, and the Rhodesias. The fonds also includes files on Philip Featherstone Osler's 1919 trip to the Far East consist of a diary, a Chinese language travel document, and petitions and letters on Korean independence. His purchase, operation, storage, and sale of an airplane, a Westland Widgeon, is documented in three files.

Osler, Henry Smith, 1862-1933 (family) : Henry Smith Osler, lawyer, was the eldest of six children of Mr. Justice Featherston Osler (1838-1902) and Henrietta Smith (1839-1902). He was a nephew of the physician William Osler. After studying at Osgoode, H.S. Osler practised law in Toronto. He was an active supporter of the bird and game sanctuary at Port Perry established by Sir Edmund Walker, and was a big game hunter in East Africa, mainly the Sudan, annually from 1923 to 1931. His only child, Philip Featherstone, travelled to the Far East in 1919, and owned an airplane in the early 1930s. H.S. Osler died at his son's house in Montreal 8 December 1933.

General note:

One multigraphed revised genealogical table, 1732-1937, presented by, W.W. Francis in 1938. The balance donated in 1995 by Mrs. Eve Osler Hampson, who received it from her father and grandfather who created the records.
