Fonds consists of correspondence from William Reed, David Copps, David [Copp], and Benjamin Bennett to Jonathan Odell; correspondence from Richard Bulkeley (b. 1717-d. 1800); and a letter from W.C. Milner to notify Arthur Doughty of the Public Archives of the donation of the letter from Benjamin Bennett.

Odell, Jonathan, 1737-1818 : Jonathan Odell was a native of New Jersey who became an army surgeon and Anglican priest. He served with a Loyalist regiment and in 1784 came to New Brunswick as Provincial Secretary, Registrar of Records, and Clerk of the Council, which offices he held until 1812 when he relinquished them in favor of his son William Odell.
